How does Google Search Console work Step by step:
Step 1 Crawlers
The first thing one does when they click on the search bar is to see what pages exist on the web. Due to the fact that there is no central repository for internet pages, it continually adds them to its collection. Already crawled pages are already known to Google.
As the spider or crawler learns your data search, all keywords, web pages, descriptions, etc. are taken into account. Create an account, or if you have Google Analytics set up on your website
You’ll then need to choose a property type by adding your website address to either the domain or URL prefix tabs (see above).
The site must be owned by you. Ideally, use your tracking ID in Google Analytics to prove ownership.
You will find your tracking ID by logging into your Google Analytics account, navigating to Admin > Property settings > Basic settings, and clicking Tracking ID.
You can now access Google Search Console from the Google Analytics sidebar the next time you log in.

- Your total clicks indicates how many times someone clicked on your search results during the selected timeframe.
- You can find the total number of times someone has viewed your search results during the selected timeframe by clicking the total impressions link.
- The average CTR is calculated by dividing the number of impressions by the number of clicks.
Even when doing basic SEO, you will require both Google Analytics and Google Search Console data. The more your site is optimized for search, the more data you will need.
