How to use google search console to improve your search ranking - clickdimensions

How does Google search console work?

Using Search Console, you can see how Google crawls, indexes, and serves a website. Website owners can use this information to monitor and optimize Search performance. The tool doesn’t require daily logins. You will receive an email from Search Console if Google finds any new issues on your site.

What does Google search console do for you?

  • Optimize your content with Search Analytics: See which queries bring users to your site. Analyze your site’s impressions, clicks, and position on Google Search.
  • Get your content on Google: Submit sitemaps and individual URLs for crawling. Review your index coverage to make sure that Google has the freshest view of your site.
  • Understand how Google Search sees your pages: The URL Inspection tool provides detailed crawl, index, and serving information about your pages, directly from the Google index.

How does Google Search Console work Step by step:

Step 1 Crawlers

The first thing one does when they click on the search bar is to see what pages exist on the web. Due to the fact that there is no central repository for internet pages, it continually adds them to its collection. Already crawled pages are already known to Google.

As the spider or crawler learns your data search, all keywords, web pages, descriptions, etc. are taken into account. To deliver better search results, the Google spider returns to previously visited pages that the user has previously visited. Neither Google nor its search engine partners accept payment for crawling or ranking a website.

Step 2 Indexing

Google understands a page’s data after it is discovered. In addition to the videos, images, and catalogs embedded on the page, Google analyzes the content as well. This process is known as indexing. A computerized database called the Google index stores this information.

Using an index, you can sort a collection of records based on multiple fields. When a table field is indexed, it creates another data structure that holds its value as well as a pointer to the records it refers to. A Binary Search can then be performed on this index structure, once it has been sorted.

Step 3 Rankings

In order to return the most relevant results to the user, Google scans the index of indexed pages. It considers factors such as language, location, device, etc. A user located in India will get different results from a user in the USA when performing the same search query restaurant near me. It is this that makes the results different.

Google crawls and indexes web pages in order to rank websites. The authority and usefulness of every page are determined by Google’s opinion of its authorship. A Google search result page is then ordered by a complex algorithm based on over 210 known factors
